Declic — Support

Email me: tomctr21@gmail.com. I usually reply within a day.

The two phones can't find each other

Both phones need to be awake, with Declic open, and near each other.

Declic connects the phones directly over the local network instead of through a server, so iOS asks for permission the first time you pair. If you said no, they won't connect. Turn it on in Settings → Declic → Local Network.

Bluetooth and Wi-Fi both need to be on, even if you aren't on a Wi-Fi network. iOS uses both to find nearby devices.

The six digits don't match

Don't tap Matches.

Those digits are what stops another device pretending to be your partner's phone. If they don't match, cancel on both phones and try again somewhere with fewer people around.

I paired with the wrong person, or we broke up

Settings → Unpair. They can't connect to your phone after that.

Photos already in your photo library stay there.

My album says photos can't be opened

Your album is encrypted with a key your two phones share, and this phone doesn't have the current one.

Open Declic on both phones near each other. The key gets sent across and the photos open.

I subscribed but my partner still can't save photos

One subscription covers both of you, but the other phone needs to pick it up. Both of you need to be signed in and paired, and the second phone needs a network connection once. It usually takes under a minute.

If it doesn't, tap Restore purchases on the phone that paid.

Managing or cancelling the subscription

Apple handles subscriptions, not me. Settings → your name → Subscriptions on the iPhone that paid.

Cancelling stops it renewing. You keep it until the end of the period you already paid for, and your album stays.

Refunds

Apple handles refunds too, at reportaproblem.apple.com. I can't issue one.

Email me anyway if something went wrong. I'd like to know.

Deleting my account

Settings → Delete Account, in the app. That removes your account, your pairing and your album's files from the server. Photos in your photo library aren't touched.

What iPhone do I need

iOS 26 or later, on both phones.

Privacy

Your photos are encrypted on your phone before they're uploaded, with a key only your two phones have. I can't open them. There's no analytics in the app.
